The following
enhancements and major bug fixes were made to the product in this
update:
The following
enhancements and major bug fixes were made in a prior update that
updated existing installations of netViz to build 648a, and which are
included in this update:

New dialog for
webView Professional that allows publishers to choose a server and
select viewer groups from the desktop when publishing.

New dialog for
webView Professional and Standard that supports zoom feature and
Navigator (requires webView build 236, which is available from a
separate download on this page).

Increase the maximum
number of records that can be refreshed through ODBC from 20,000
to 2,000,000.

Fix of memory leaks
for (1) projects with large number of backgrounds and (2) export
of composite views to PowerPoint or metafiles.

Fixed bug that could
sometimes cause a crash when an aliased link was moved across
diagrams.

Various other bug
fixes.
The following
enhancements and major bug fixes were made in a prior update that
updated existing installations of netViz to build 647, and which are
included in this update:
- Fixed a bug that could cause data
errors when connecting a list field with an override length of 0
bytes to an external database.
- Fixed a bug that could cause
problems when trying to export a project or save a diagram on a
new project with an empty page.
- Fixed a bug that could cause an
error message to be displayed when a project containing aliases of
free graphic or free text objects was exported.
- Fixed a bug that could cause
objects in the Hierarchy Browser that were subject to visual
overrides not to redraw correctly when the visual overrides were
changed.
- Fixed a bug that could cause netViz
to act improperly when a type was modified and all visual
overrides were removed.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused a
field not to be copied and pasted properly when it was linked to
visual overrides.
The following
enhancements and major bug fixes were made in a prior update that
updated existing installations of netViz to build 646, and which are
included in this update:
- Added a "Hide Selected
Objects" feature that allows selected objects and/or links to
be completely hidden from view. This feature may be accessed from
the menu pull-down at Diagram\Hide Selected. Also added Ctrl key
access to this feature. Hide Selected is Ctrl-H and Remove Filter
is Ctrl-Q.
- Added functionality to the database
writeback feature to include the option to write the full
hierarchy path into a single database field.
- Added the ability to link external
data to a netViz list field.
- Added the "mapmerge"
utility (see netViz User's Guide, p. 85).
- Updated the ODBC Administrator
module to MDAC 2.5.
- Corrected a problem that could
cause file corruption when a "replace type" was
performed on an unaliased object.
- Corrected a problem that could
cause interdiagram links to display improperly when the end nodes
were moved to other diagrams.
We recommend that you
update your Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) to version 2.5. Click
here to download this update. Please save this download to your
netViz program directory.
The following
enhancements and major bug fixes were made in a prior update that
updated existing installations of netViz to build 639, and which are
included in this update:
- Enhanced HTML publishing to perform
double-click overrides when objects were set to display other
project levels when double-clicked.
- Enhanced the API to allow multiple
custom modules to be designated to load automatically when netViz
starts.
- Corrected a problem that could
cause project corruption when one or more linked nodes were moved
to other project levels by being dragged into the Hierarchy
Browser.
- Corrected a problem that could
prevent netViz 3D from properly installing on the Windows 2000
operating system.
- Corrected a problem that could
interfere with Web publishing when a project's data was stored in
an Oracle database.
- Corrected several problems related
to accessing OLE automation functions.
